wow wheres the Aloha? this thread was very enjoyable until the row started. does it matter so much in slack key musical circles 'who you know' etc.?
@ Auntie Wanda I am realy enjoying your story about your adventures, the videos too, the trip sounds wonderful. I so wish I could visit Hawai'i someday. A shame about the cold, I hate singing with one myself, but it sounds like you had a good time despite. :) |

In my opinion, not so much really. It helps to have good friends to play music with, but who you have "rubbed elbows with" doesn't make you a better musician, and more importantly, a better person.
That said, I am pretty lucky to get to jam with Duke, Derek, and the Abrigos as much as I do.
If I can add anything to this thread it would be that it was great having the opportunity to hang out and play music with the Certos.
They are really great people. My family and I really enjoyed our time with them.

I don't know LikaNui and Judy personally, and I don't know the details of the incidents they and others are referring to. Whatever it is, they can take it offline and not air it publicly on this forum. It's pretty clear it's a touchy issue, so I hope other Taropatchers will take the high road and refrain from joking or escalating the situation. Let's keep Taropatch civil and constructive.

I am not a duck nor an emperor but a wolf, hence my confusion. :(
if its down to ruining people lives, ie stealing and cheating people, sabotaging others relationships or lively hood etc. And there are those that feel the need to set some record strait, perhaps the facts should be stated in its own thread, or the people causing trouble to be sent on their not so merry way. Signifigant to consider, there is such a thing as slander and libel. if its so bad that some feel it is ruining lives then perhaps the proper athorities should be contacted about first instead of it being aired publicaly.
The human world is full of rumors and hear-say. ive got some lovely rumors about me spread by one crazed fan in particular, appearenly I've got criminal exploits all over europe though Ive never been out of the country! lol i don't realy take it seriously but I know defamation type rumors can be harmful for some. |
