Slack key artists are becoming quite popular in the Hawaiian Concert Series! Joining us in July is Tim Fuller, originally a guitarist in the Chet Atkins tradition, Tim began exploring the rich traditional guitar sounds from the Hawaiian Islands in early 2001. Known as Ki Ho Alu, or Hawaiian Slack Key, this tradition utilizes numerous ingenious tunings that evoke the tropical ambience of the Hawaiian Islands.
In performance Fuller utilizes both steel and nylon string guitars and several tunings for a richly satisfying experience of this beautiful guitar tradition. Tim is based in Santa Cruz, California.
Saturday, July 16, 8-10pm $5 per person.
