Aloha Milikona, That is a good question about Steven Hall. The last I remember of him, he was playing with The Peter Moon band. And that was awhile ago. I will try to find out and get back to you.A hui hou...Keali'i K. |

Keali'i, I think he played with Peter Moon then after that stint, he performed with Martin Pahinui. He was a member of his band, but then he seem to drop out of the music business..

Yes, Sir Piffle, that was me singing behind Liko doing that amazing hula, with my ipu, trying to reach the microphone which was too tall for me. Man, that was some hula, as seen from the "other" side... Julie (Why is it that we live in the same county but hardly ever see each other?) |

Aloha Milikona, I've heard through my contacts,(nah, just read), that Steven got sick a few years ago. But, he does some studio sit-in guitar for some musicians from time to time. I know there is one recording he was on from "Mark Yim and the Blue Hawaiian Band" where he was a guest guitarist among other notable musicians. Hope that helped li'ili'i. A hui hou...Keali'i K. |

Cathe, emoticons (short for emotional icons) originated (on 9/19/82 for those of you into Internet trivia) as combinations of characters that represent emotions. For example, :-) for happy (look at it sideways) or :-( for sad. Here at TaroPatch.net they refer to the little face pictures that can be added to posts. For a fairly exhaustive look at different character emoticons check out:
http://www.angelfire.com/hi/hahakiam/emoticon.html
They were originally referred to as smileys and the whole point was to allow people to be more expressive in their online text communications. (The :-) emoticon is often used to identify sarcasm.) |

Cathe:
Be afraid, be very afraid. Nothing to see here, move along.
Experimenting leads to addiction. Sure, just the occasional 'happy clown face' now, but soon....well, you know.
Emoticons are like 'gateway' writing that lead to more dangerous things like:
LMAO IMHO PWN3D and even ZuRf3RBO1 and the like.
Soon, you'll wanna put a 'wing' on your Camry, and a soup can on the tailpipe. You'll end up paying some shop in Fremont to airbrush 'Ukulele Warrior' on the side and start driving to Santa Cruz on the weekends to cruise. (that parts cool though cause you can come see me)
Uhh, I need to go ride my bike now.

Uhhh okies, sometimes it's better not to know too much! Jeez Craig, to be able to pinpoint the date and all. Whew. do you get outside much? <BEG> But actually, mahalo for your expanation, even though I'm not fond of smiley faces. Mo bettah say what you feel for dis ol' lady...
Piffle!!!!! What Camry? You insult me, sir. Could you perhaps be referring to the flame decals leaping along the sides of my vintage and much beloved 1972 Volkswagen Bus? (They make it go faster, and intimidate toyotas, not to mention the surge of power from the Porsche engine and dual carbs) Tsk. Auntie.
