The weather here is wild - Andy didn't mention the high winds, drifting, and whiteouts which shut down all the airports and Interstates. The base wind is NNE and about 30 mph with gusts to 55 mph. We have 4 foot drifts in some places (the driveway, of course) and other places, like the front lawn, it is scoured bare. It makes no sense to snowblow or shovel, because the wind puts it right back. The temp here this morning was about 0. For the life of me, I have never been able to figure out why promoters scheduled tours of Hawaiian artists at this time of year, or why the artists would do it. It is not just discomfort, the advisories clearly called this storm "Life Threatening".
