The Kent Stage, in Kent, Ohio was the scene last night for possibly the first ever slack key concert in N.E. Ohio.Cyril Pahinui, and special guest Patrick Landeza displayed their extrordinary talents as guitarists/singers to an apreciative crowd of us Buckeyes. As solo performer, they each demonstrated the differences in their styles,
but for the last set, they joined forces for a stunning display of
their artistry. One of our favorites was U'lilli'E.The joining of their voices and playing made this a standout.Mahalo nui loa, gentlemen.
While I have your attention, are there any slack key players in N.E. Ohio? We should join forces to call for more Ki Ho'Alu in our neck of the woods.

"A master banjo player isn't the person who can pick the most notes. It's the person who can touch the most hearts." Patrick Costello
