I've NOT heard an official announcment from Herb, but I got email from Acoustic Music San Diego (local music venue), announcing Daniel Ho, Herb Ohta Jr, and Keoki Kahumoku appearing in San Diego on Jan 6. Buffalo Brothers reports that workshops are planned for Thursday Jan 5; Uke and Slack Key. I emailed Herb Jr, but haven't heard back. Stay tuned.

They are doing a nice tour of the California Coast - I expect we'll hear more when all the details are ironed out. There will also be workshops along the way, including up here. n |

Please note that if you are interested in the Manhattan Beach workshop at Dietz Bros, the phone number is incorrectly listed on several sites. It is: 310-379-6799. Hope to see some of you there! n |

Tpers, Lets keep this thread active. Ticket sales for the San Diego Jan 6 gig are very slow. I'm spreading fliers to the local spots (L & L, Da Kine, etc), but we need some local legwork to get the word out. The venue for this is a rookie with Hawaiian music. I'll get stuff to the SCSKS folks next Wed. www.AcousticMusicSanDiego.com. tickets are $20. See Auntie Maria's post for other details |

Terry, I just posted an email to all the Moonlight Beach Ukulele Players for the workshops and the concert. I played some slack key ukulele Christmas Music for them last night at the weekly kanikapizza on my brand new KoAloha D-VI. I had several positive comments and lots of interesting questions. It sounded better on the amp than I ever expected - now have to get the fingers to go where I want them to. |
