Aloha all! I wanted to let you know that the Woodsong Acoustics Group will be touring the west coast throughout September and October. (2006) There will be five different artist that I have the honor in performing with; Adam Werner (New Land Music)Gordon Rowland (guitarworks.com) Scott Burwell, and new on the scene slack key and fingerstyle guitarist, Brenda Lipincott, Fusion Slack Key guitarist Bolo, and myself. Details of the travels and performances are posted on the "EVENTS" page of woodsongacoustics.com.

By the way if any of you get to see and hear Kona Bob and his wife Shirley perform CHECK 'EM OUT!! They have such a great sound and are truly talented artists~ I think they may even be working on an Album!?

A hui hou~

Chris,
Are you coming down to SoCal. We went to hear you play when you came through San Diego with John Keawe and Keola Beamer.

Aloha Mike, thank you for putting that up there! Much appreciated~ We would love to make it down that way but as of right now we have no contacts for a venue. Were working on it though. I think it will jsut take time to build up for that area.

Aloha Dusty, I had such a great time we were down there and would love to come back. I won't be with Keola and John this time around so I think that theater might be to big! We're working up to it though~ What do you do down that way?

Hi Chris,

I fixed your big text problem. You want text size 2 or 3, not 5 or 6. You might check the FAQ: How to format text with Bold, Italic, Quote, etc... Basically you want your post to be formatted like this...

type your text here

Chris,
We might be able to find you something. "Chunky Monkey" used to help promote slack key in this area with "Ianui". Daniel Ho, Keoki, and Junior played at a smaller venue here and I believe are scheduled again. I think Ralph Lowe knows who to contact.

OK Chris, so when are you coming??? Terry's terrific - he and Mary are very nice, hospitable, and he has tried to find better venues where we don't have to pay $$$ for insurance or post $1M bond. I wonder if Keith could work anything at that little college he works for..... Also, those guys can make it up to the LA area. Catch Doug Katsumoto to set that up. He's worked especially with Daniel, who lives here, getting stuff set up with him and George, and him w/ Keoki and Herb etc... He's gone rafting on the Kern this weekend - great trip too.
If you do a concert here, you can stay with me - plus others - who aren't allergic to cats.
Let me or Mike know if you want us to jump on anything.
aloha nui!

Hi Nancy, I look forward to meeting Terry at some point (Chunky Monkey~ thanksmika'ele!)Perhaps we could work on something for 2007?! I will get in touch with Terry in a couple of weeks when I have some down time. I appreciate the offer on a place to stay, I don't know many down that way, if any at all.

Hi Chris!
You'll have to get to know all of the SCSKS bunch. That's Southern California Slack Key Society. Very very loosely organized for a society....... So c'mon down to visit any time. And I'd bet we can figure out something for next year. Remember it snows up in Wash, Ore, back East etc in the winter. But it's nice here. Also, this time of year is really nice when Hawai'i tends to get very hot. I'm glad you're considering coming back down this way!

I wanted to thank Patrick Landeza for having us up to the Sacramento Borders! That was so much fun and everyone there was SO cool! Mahalo Nui to Tom Henke as well. It was OUR pleasure to say the least!!

By the way, we will also be performing up in GRASS VALLEY this Saturday the 7 of October over at the St Joseph' s cultural center~ the door open at 6:30. Sebastopol will be on October 13 with doors opening at 7pm. Tickets for both will be available at the door.

There will be four different style of guitar, Kihoalu, Fingerstyle, (Slap & Tap) and latin fusion.
