Aloha coming to Cleveland area....

The North Coast Hula Workshop,February 16-18 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Twinsburg, OH.
Over 80 hula students from around the country will be attending the
workshop taught by internationally known instructors, Mapuana and Kihei
de Silva. Friday evening, February 16, Kihei will be lecturing on mele (and kaona) and `olelo. Hawaiian foods and snacks will be available. (mmmm....musubi)

Hula workshop will be all day Saturday and Sunday until 3:00.

On February 17 the Library Foundation is also hosting a ho`ike featuring songs and dances of the Pacific Islands, and
a full buffet luau feast including two tropical mixed drinks per person
and a lei greeting, which will serve as a fundraiser for the Foundation.
There will be a performance by Na Hoku Hanohano award winners Ale`a. The Merrie Monarch Dancers of Halau Mohala Illima will be performing to their accompaniment. A free trip to Hawaii will be raffled off. Last
year's event raised $12,000. Don't miss out! To purchase tickets, stop by the Friends Gift Shop. Luau only tickets are $55 a piece, or $400 for a table of eight.

Wow! This sounds great! I love watching Mapuana DeSilva and the halau. They are great. Thanks for letting us know and the heads up!
