Aloha Kakou, If you are ever in the San Diego, CA area on a Wednesday evening, come on by Today's Pizza and jam with us. The local TV station recorded a story on us last week. We are arguably the fastest growing ukulele group on the mainland.
Well. . . It is getting packed at the start 6PM. I stand and wander and teach chords to the "newbies" or sing a few in front of the mike. We usually eat pizza at 7:30 and take a 15/30 minute break. Half the crowd leaves and we jam on (the die hards) until 9PM when we play Hawai'i Aloha/Aloha 'Oe and are all Pau.
We used to play slack key at the break but it is too noisy and I don't get any salad/pizza that way. Besides, it is easier just to bring my ukulele(s).
Nancy -- come on down. Dusty and Shiela have been coming by once in awhile.
E nana, e ho'olohe. E pa'a ka waha, e hana ka lima.
