Okay `ohana, the bar has been raised. Last month we had the 4Ks and they will be there again to kick the elders butts.
If you think you can compete, step up to the Mic.
Tuesday, April 10th at:
Mission City Coffee Roasting Co,
2221 The Alameda, in Santa Clara
Take The Alameda, north, off of 880 and it's about two long blocks on your left (just before the Alameda makes the big swing around Santa Clara University)
Signups, as always, will be at 6:30 PM and the first act will be at 7:15.

Last Sunday the snow was pretty good....
Hopefully we will make it to Open Mic, although the prospect of one last ski trip is mighty tempting!

Hiram, I know one of the Mom's and I don't think I'd mess with her. Haven't seen you in a while. It'll be good to hear you play.
BTW Everyone: The people who run the music at the mission, "Thriving Artists" will be on hand again to help with the new house PA. They will have a donation jar in the back of the room. Please give if you've a mind to.
Oh, and the bar may be raised to the 6Ks. Should be fun!!

Boy, I miss one open mic and we get invaded by menehunes. I'm planning to come this Tuesday and I'll be ready for the challenge. I've been practicing da classic Oahu public school ukulele strum!
Please save a spot for me if I get stuck in traffic.

What a night that was last nite!
Full house, full Roster, had me running around like a brat with my head cut off (da udda sound guyz neva show!)
Lotsa very good performances. Hirams star pupil Evan and his sister Lauren brought down the house!!
(or should I say made the whole house stand up?)
If I remember correctly, they did the following three "simple" Uke numbers:
..1) Gauva Jam
..2) Kawika
..3) On Fire!
Yikes!!!....
Dey kinda... beat everyone else to a pulp!
