Time again for our open mic, Tuesday, Nov 13 at:

Mission City Coffee Roasting Co,
2221 The Alameda, in Santa Clara

Take The Alameda, north, off of 880 and it's about two long blocks on your left (just before the Alameda makes the big swing around Santa Clara University)

Signups, as always, will be at 6:30 PM and the first act will be at 7:15.

Thank you once again to Mission City and Sun Jose Hawai`i for sponsoring this event

Mahalo nui,

dog

Hi Dave,

Please save a spot for me. Hope a lot of the folks who came to Ozzie's workshop this past Saturday will come to the open mic--same location, great meatloaf sandwich. T-Dan, I'm looking forward to meeting you.

Aloha,

Doug

I look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow night. I dropped off Ozzie and Steve yesterday morning at the Oakland Airport. It was a long and wonderfully sleepless weekend. Caught up on sleep last night and will be ready for a great Open Mic tomorrow. Can't wait to hear you guys play. Maybe some stuff from Ozzie's workshop????

Please accept my apologies for "spacing out" last night. Having dropped off Ozzie and Stephen on Monday morning after a long weekend and my wife having knee surgery that same day, I lost track of days. Even in my post above I said "tomorrow". Knowing the resourcefulness of my fellow South Bayers, I'm sure you did just fine. I feel bad about making the mistake, but as Ozzie says, "You no die"

Mahalo,

Dave

Glad to hear you are OK, Dave.

We were worried that you might have had an accident or a health emergency.

However, it was a disaster without you. The lack of a sign-up white board forced us to decide the order of performance by sheer physical combat. It was an ugly bloody mess, what with all the wood and glass splinters from shattered instruments and chairs and windows, not to mention the human carnage.

Hey Art:
It was nice to finally meet you too.
Your bass sounded good up there.
I didn't know there were 5 string basses.
I always wanted to learn bass,
but with slack, now I can play both !!
It will be a while before I learn a complete song
to play up there.
Aloha

Nice seeing everyone, and thanks to the Kam ohana for inviting me to sit in with them. Sorry to miss you, Mr. Dog, but it was great to see that the event has become enough of an institution that it rolled right along even without our impressario. I've already forgotten the name of our sound tech, but he deserves plenty of thanks as well.

Fran
