Aloha Everyone,

Just wanted to announce our September/October schedule for the Masters of Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Concert Series on Maui.

September 3: Bobby Ingano
September 10: Ledward Kaapana
September 17: Dennis Kamakahi
September 24: Kawika Kahiapo

October 1: Richard Ho’opi’i
October 8: Sonny Lim
October 15: Dennis Kamakahi
October 22: Ledward Kaapana
October 29: Owana Salazar

October 2008 marks the fifth anniversary of our concert series on Maui. We have never missed a weekly show during that time and we’ve been honored with three Grammy Awards.

Much of the live music in Hawaii is really background music in bars and restaurants. Our goal is to provide traditional Hawaiian artists with a venue where people come to enjoy the music in a concert setting. If you haven’t had a chance to attend yet we hope we’ll see you at some time here on beautiful Napili Bay. Show information is available at www.slackkey.com.

Way to go, you guys!

Another great series line-up.

As a fan, I truly appreciate all you are doing to put the artists and the art form in a great concert setting with dignity and aloha. Here's best wishes for another sold-out season.

cheers,

Mark

Mahalo Mark, for your kind comments.

Writer G.K. Chesterton said (and I'm paraphrasing a bit), "Music with food is an insult to both chef and musician." One of our primary goals is to have a venue that is respectful to the talents of these wonderful artists.

Hope to see you here one of these days.

Paul

Sadly, I don't get to the other side much. I've been to the old venue at the Ritz and Mama and I thoroughly enjoyed the evening. I guess this old fella will just have to make another trip out west...

Aloha,
