The 2009 Aloha Falsetto Festival is coming up this July! Got an amazing lineup of artists like Weldon Kekauoha, Richard Ho'opi'i, Pomaika'i Keawe (Aunty Genoa's granddaughter), Leokane Pryor and local kumu hula Moku Yoshikawa! Also, a great house band including Jeff Peterson, Bryan Tolentino and Alika Boy IV, not to mention award-winning hula!
And don't miss the meet-and-greet the Friday night before the show where you'll get delicious food prepared by award-winning chefs on the Redondo Pier and the chance to mingle, get autographs, and participate in a special forum with the artists!
Tickets on sale for the July 18th performances - one at 2pm and one at 7pm - at www.AlohaFalsettoFest.com and start at only $25!
Island Marketplace summer arts & crafts fair will be open from 11am with Hawaiian grinds, original and handmade jewelry, clothing and accessories, Hawaiian quilts and lots more.

this was fun! despite some shaky audio at times (first this has happened on any of Piko's interviews) it was a very enjoyable time - Aunty Mohala lives and breathes hula and had some very neat things to share as well. Hope you take a listen to the interviews! |
