Aloha!
Right On ~ I've heard from several SF Bay Area Taropatch.netters and it looks like we'll have a pretty darn good turnout! I hope to hear from even more of ya! All are welcome! Drop me a line and I'll respond within 24 hours. Sorry about having everyone email me through taropatch.net for directions and such ~ it's because I'm uncomfortable posting my personal info online. Wouldn't you be? Hee Hee.
I'm lookin' forward to the 2nd Bay Area Taropatch.net Kanikapila!
Aloha!

Aloha Julie,
Please confirm if you received directions to the Kanikapila OK. You said you didn't receive a response from me when I actually had responded. So I resent 2 more times (once directly and once thru taropatch.net). I'm not sure we are connecting. I can send again if neccessary.

Aloha Craig!
It's a Jay Turser Premier JTA-DS:

They recently started making a Classical version of this guitar too. It sounds pretty good for being so darned inexpensive. Even George Kahumoku Jr. liked it!

Thanks Stacey for the great afternoon. We really enjoyed the get together even with all those little tiny guitar looking things making all that music noise. Loved the little dog too and the slack key clairinet tunes were wonderful. Ate my share and loved it. I have the pictures and will send some to Andy in hopes that he will post them here. Jerry

Stacey, that was such a fun time! Thanks so much for hosting this kanikapila and inviting us into your lovely home. And the food, definitely ono! (First class) We look forward to the next one at Cathe's house. Raymond, too bad you had to leave so early, we played for hours on end. It was almost dark when we left. And actually, eventhough some of the pieces were executed in an elementary manner, some were executed brilliantly! That's how we all learn.

And Commander Fizzle, where were you? I was so looking forward to seeing you again, and meeting your lady friend.

I noticed that I needed to spend LOTS more time practicing. Time to give that little Baby Taylor another spin... In another month we'll be on Maui gaping at George and all dose udder guys wid da flying fingas! Hope I can bring some new songs to the next kanikapila.
Aloha nui, Julie

Wow! It was terrific it was to have everyone over for Kanikajammapila yesterday! I can't express how much I enjoyed hosting such a wonderful group of free spirits and talented musicians! Wow ~ everyone is so inspiring! I think they all had fun too cuz they stayed til 7! Here's some pictures (I hope they don't take too long to load):

Here's everyone jammin' on the back porch! L-R: Diana, Cynthia, Karen, Jerry (standing), Ed (foreground), Lisa, Larry, oops Julie's behind Larry, Lawrence Cathe and my dog, Cody.

From the left, going around the circle is: Lawrence, Cathe, Larry, Ed, Cynthia, Karen, Lisa & Julie.

There's Jerry with his *Grrrgeous* Koa Gibson, Lawrence, Larry, Julie and Cynthia.

Here's Lawrence, Diana, Cynthia, Larry, Jerry and Julie! I would love to spend a day with Cynthia, Julie and Cathe's notebooks full of every Mele + chords that you can think of!

My 9 year old daughter Kelly even played us some tunes on her clarinet! L-R: Cynthia, Karen's daughter Jasmine, Ed's wife Helen in the doorway, Kelly, Lawrence and Larry.

Here's Ed and Stacey and a little bit of Karen in da shot too.

Here's me, Stacey, and Auntie Cathe!

Raymond Stovich was there too and he serenaded us solo while we munched all the goodies. Then he left early and we didn't get a picture of him. Sorry 'bout that Raymond.
Also, sorry we missed Jeffrey (oaklandslacker) and Cmdr Piffle. We hope you can join us next time at Auntie Cathe's House in Mill Valley!!!
