This could be it!!!
i would be VERY interested in a workshop with John if he were to agree to that. Maybe even more than just one day? The preformance is a Sunday, so perhaps a workshop Friday and Saturday??

Unfortunately, they arrive Sunday morning and leave Monday. I've asked him what their plans are for Sunday after the performance. I suggested a get-together of some sort and am waiting to hear from him.

Not only are all our friends there waaaay cool, Maggie, but their weather is so uniformly (constantly)wonderful. It is max 71, min 53 and sunny all the time this part of the year. I researched it. If it weren't for the occasional fire storm, high real estate prices (paradise costs) and proximity to bad things in TJ (although, I just love the idea of Border Vigilantes- where do I sign up?), I would seriously think about emigrating.

Thanks Dusty - got it -
Hey Maggs!! told ya before to come on down!! It's a painful drive from LA, but not beyond reason (like hapakid showing up for the workshop in Washington) to get to San Diego. Reid - I've just never understood why they build cities where it snows. That doesn't make sense if there isn't good skiing close by. And some of us live in cities where we don't have fires (like chunkey monkey's where they had to replace all the windows etc). But those of us in town, close to the beach live in little houses 'cuz we don't stay inside very much.
Only one more week to your great adventure (OK, a bit of an overstatement). But you won't need a down jacket, and you will need shorts.
And border vigilantes are Texas. We just hire anyone looking for work.....
