Jeez, you guys...Killing us with kindness...
...but we share in your joy because...
It is wonderful to be reminded, in these strange and perilous times, that there are pockets of pure goodness and wonder left in the world.
Mahalo nui loa. |

Aloha kakou!
Here are a few of my photos from AMC 2005, too.

Aloha TP'ers (campers and non-campers):
All I can say is that the workshop on Maui was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. I could not even imagine in my wildest dreams to have been a part of something so wonderful and so enriching. The music, instruction, teachers, staff, and all the people who participated in the workshop, collectively made this a truly memorable event. Mahalo especially to George and Nancy Kahumoku for making it all possible and working so hard to put this program together. I am also grateful and blessed to have met some of the nicest folks during the week who hold a special place in my heart and will always be my "music ohana." It was great to finally meet many TP'ers and make new friends. Above all, the music that brought us ALL together in the first place couldn't have been more terrific and just downright amazing. From the guidance of our top notch instructors to the awesome kanikapilas, small group jams, impromptu noodling around (and of course, our late nights playing on the beach by moonlight), it was just a totally incredible experience altogether. I'm sure the AMC'ers had some great times too. Sure would like to hear how your camp went as well.
Again, mahalo to everyone for making this last week one of the best ever for me!
A hui hou, Maggie

Maggie forgot to tell you that she was very enthusiastic, especially for the midnight beach kanikapilas. We would have stayed later on our last night except the adjacent hotel sprinklers came on full blast as the wind blew, and that effectively ended the gig. We were blessed with the presence of several AMC campers at the Maui Slack Key Festival, Nancy, Kevin and Islandboo among them. So wonderful to see friendly and loving faces, filling out our Ohana even more. Aren't we richly blessed through the music, though? But Sarah, I missed hearing your toad song.
So I have some good shots, but have no clue as to how to share them. (This from a computer expert on the hardware side: chips) Does someone have an easy solution?
Aloha nui loa, Julie

Julie,
Open a .Mac account for $99/year. Easy to use. Lots of storage space. Don't know how it interfaces PCs
See you tomorrow,

I've also got a lot of pictures, more than I could easily put on a share-page, methinks. So I'll just slap'em onto a CD for anybody who wants one. Let me know if you're also interested in the pics from the Halawa Valley expedition or any of the other non-regular-AMC stuff (such as the jolly li'l beach-crabs by Hotel Moloka`i) |

In defense of myself, Jill, Kevin and Liko.........
I think 'vulture' may be too harsh. It's not like we came descending on the bread. We distracted Dave and company with alcohol, then simply took it when they weren't looking.
We're musicians. We have morals and such.

Hoo boy! What a week!!
Annie and I just got home a couple of days ago, and we are only just beginning to dig down to the bottom of the pile o' stuff we have to do to get ready for February.
Mahalo to every one who attended the Aloha Camp -- like Kevin says, it was the bomb.
I've posted some pix on the camp website: http://www.alohamusiccamp.com. Follow the links to Picture Gallery.
I'll put more up when I get a chance.
Me ke aloha bigtime.
