Aloha, Hee Hee! You boys play nice now, or you'll scare poor Scott from ever wanting to post here again. He's just messin' around. Nuttin' wrong wit dat. Sometimes a more casual conversation just rolls off the tongue mo bettah.
When I visited San Diego, that same darn seagull took a crap on my burger! Direct hit! Wasn't hungry no more.

Hay Barry, Lighten up a little and enjoy the aloha spirit. Not every one in a cowboy hat can ride a horse, not everyone in an aloha shirt can ride a wave. Most of us take on a little of the cultures we like and feel comfortable with. To me its wrong if done to mock or insult. I certainly talk differently with my musician friends than I do when I'm discussing multi-million projects in the boardroom of my company. |

Ummm... and then there was the day, about 15 years ago, when I lost $25 million (on paper). I was the world's expert on a particular kind of computer processing and formed a corporation that had a a contractual alliance with Bell Labs (now Lucent- but not the same thing anymore) and a software company that is now defunct. So, AMR, that parent company of American Airlines, Sabre, etc. asked to buy a bazillion copies of the hardware/software package I devised. But, that day, it turned out that the now-defunct-software-company idiots had written their portion of the code so that it was only single user, not networkable. AMR dropped its offer to buy immediately. You should have heard me talk "differently" that day! My own kind of Pidgin! Then, when I regained consciousness, I was speechless.

I started all this, so maybe I should end it...I see that a few agree with my curmudgeon point of view, but most say go for expressing yourself, however you want, altho some may have misinterpreted my point. Anyway I've been told to lighten up by a company owning, multi-million $ decision making man, so I'd best pay heed...I'm lighter already. Adieu {that's French} Barry |

Aloha, Actually, it was Scott who introduced this topic, and us old farts that had the hussy-fit with it. Anyhoo, Scott... are ya'll still with us?? My daddy came from Virginia, and I spent all my childhood summers sailing the Chesapeake. (See, I might-could slip into southern dialect, in the spirit moves...). Aloha e Scott! |

You guys are so odd.
I have never been to Hawaii. I spent three years in Liberia living on the beach. In Liberia they make shirts that are cotton fanti cloth or tie dyed or batiked. They are absolutely beautiful. Since i have been home, the closest thing I have found are Hawaiian shirts. I wear them all the time and am somewhat of a collector. I started playing alternative tunings long before I heard Hawaiian music. I love Hawaiian music because it is so soothing. I love to listen to Hawaiian music. I know absolutely nothing about Hawaii. But I bet if we played guitar together, we would get along just fine. |

Thanks for noticing...I've worked very hard at it. (I tried being even once but it was too difficult without medication.)
P.S. Love the photo of you feeding the polar bear! |

I haven't been to Hawaii, but I have been to Sea World in San Diego where a sea gull took a crap on my shirt. I didn't think it was funny but everyone else did. |

My conclusion after reading this entire thread is that I really need to go to Sea World and commune with the wild life. |
